You will be able to see 6 planets at night.
You can actually see them all now (Mercury is a morning star I think right now so you cannot see it, and boy, seeing Mercury takes patience and perseverance, it's so low in the sky).
Mars, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn (the latter two in a dance together in the SW sky when we go out walking) are all clearly visible now.
Every night, I go out for my bedtime story of planet and stargazing. I'll do my best with binoculars to see Uranus, but if you live in a light polluted area, you really need a telescope to see beautiful blue Neptune, which is way way way out there.
