I hate that I dislike my job but really need the hours to pay the bills...
Anyways, barring any weather-related changes or health issues, tomorrow will be a day of fun. I'm meeting a good friend for lunch at Olive Garden (his pick) and an afternoon at Barnes and Noble. My wonderful, stupid brother ignored our "no gifts!" mandate at Christmas and got both Dad and me $30 gift cards for B&N. Dad then gave me his, despite my strenuous objections; I offered to pay him and he wouldn't even accept that. I'm hoping I'll find something for him that I can give him for his birthday at the end of the month.
Today though has been a day of organizing. Not cleaning, except for some light dusting, just organizing. So far I've tackled a couple messy desk tops and put away craft supplies in my new craft organizer bff gave me. TBH, it was a solution to a non-existent problem, and as the craft supplies share space in a closet with clothes, I had to smush some of the clothes together to make room for the organizer which is pretty tall. Also, while I'm pretty fanatic about keeping a tidy (if not exactly clean <g>) home, I can be pretty lapse about anything that's out of sight: closets, junk drawers, the attic, etc. Dad, who rarely complains about anything, casually suggested I needed to go into the attic and re-organize all the Christmas wrappings. I have two containers holding rolls of gift wrap that are in pretty good shape but this past Christmas, I completely ransacked the two bins holding the gift boxes, gift bags, tissue paper, ribbons, etc. I'm dreading going upstairs into the attic because it's not heated, and it's been below 25° for almost a month now, with the exception of a day or two. And...I'm tired. But next week, the temperature is going to dip into single digits, with night time temps in the negatives, so today would probably be the best day to just git 'er done.
