a Christmas gift from my bff. Earlier last year, she bought herself the 6 cube storage rack from Dollar Tree and 6 bins to store her craft supplies in. She liked it so much, she got me one for Christmas. I'm not entirely sure the unit will fit in the closet where I have my crafts but...we'll see.
So despite me working for two years building water softeners/purifiers, I'm just not a natural builder. This came with only the vaguest of instructions but didn't seem too hard to put together. And it wasn't...but I was careless when assembling the shelves and didn't always have the connecter pieces on correctly. There's definitely a (slightly) longer part that needs to be facing up, not holding the rods of the shelf together. And of course I didn't discover this till sweating and (near) cursing through building three shelves and wondering why they weren't fitting together quite right. I was blaming it on "you get what you pay for"...and then I realized I'd not been paying strict attention to how I was attaching the connectors. I did the fourth and last shelf correctly and then went back and redid the other three *sigh* My shoulders are a bit sore from pushing the pieces together and I think I might have the start of a blister on my palm. But I'm proud of myself for not having to ask Dad for help. Of course, he wouldn't have needed any instructions and would've had it all together in 15 minutes...
