had a really good lunch at The Brew Kettle, then went to spend some gift cards at Target and then finished up the afternoon by watching Moana 2 at a local theater. There was another incident with a Target gift card...some of you might recall a few months ago when I tried to spend a Target gift card at a local Target only to be told it hadn't been activated. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with customer service (the customer service desk at Target didn't even TRY to help me; they just gave me the number to call) and was eventually told they had no record of the card being purchased, so I was out of luck.
Gcf and I got each other Target gift cards for Christmas (we both bought them at Giant Eagle, both for fuel perks and because we don't trust the local Target to ring up the cards correctly), and gcf had a brand new gift card from another friend. I had no trouble spending my card, and gcf had no trouble spending the card I gave her, but when she tried to pay the balance of her purchase with the gift card from her other friend, she was told the card only had $2 on it. Despite my friend never having used it. Now I *highly* doubt gcf forgot she'd already used it, and I also highly doubt the other friend (who I know--she's a sweetie) would buy a card and spend some of it before giving it to a friend. So we don't know what happened. Gcf didn't want to make a scene, so she just paid the remaining $8 and change but she was pretty annoyed.
