Season 1 is short; only 7 episodes. I guess the show was a hard pitch but once it caught on, it got renewed for longer seasons. The subsequent seasons are 13 and 16 episodes. To me, it feels important to get a good feel for who Walter White is before he goes down the road he goes down and becomes who he becomes. And that’s pretty much what S1 has been so far. I was pleasantly surprised at how much black humor there is.
