as polarized as you and Pablo on this movie. Because a bad Tomato rating can reflect polarized opinions, I don’t usually let a middling bad Tomato rating like this one stop me from watching a movie. My expectations are usually lowered by a bad TR though which sometimes makes me pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. A 17% Tomato rating, on the other hand, would mean most critics didn’t like it and I’d likely skip it. Polarized opinion though sometimes means a filmmaker took chances and made a movie that is different and non-formula.
