we can exchange gifts before the Christmas party. Last year, we exchanged gifts AT the party, and it was super awkward, with other attendees--who were NOT opening gifts--looking on and commenting. After breakfast, I'm going to brave the grocery store for a few last minute items. I fully expect it to be as busy, if not busier, than the mall or big box stores.
