And the story absolutely defies credulity for me, starting with the couple’s assessment that they really weren’t in danger and continuing throughout almost every scene, where kind strangers and random stashes of cash were always available.

I just made note of those authors, some of whom I like and some of whom I’ve never read. If you have recs for books by Perrotta, Banks, or Auster, I’d appreciate them. Thanks!
