… any author’s right to tell any story of their choosing, with the caveat that they must tell it well. Jeanine Cummins’ writing leaves much to be desired. I rolled my eyes a lot. I can’t help but wonder if a better-written book might have inspired less controversy.
I also read Let The Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist. Great book! It’s a vampire story but not your typical vampire story to be sure. I wanted more details about this particular vampire’s origins, but that is my only criticism. The story was original and well-written, and it completely held my interest from start to finish. Loved the ending!
I just started The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, which I know several of you have read. I think I’m going to really like it. I’m totally intrigued by the narrator.
