"I Was A Teenage Slasher" by Stephen Graham Jones. I had previously started it but soon realized he was telling a different story than I thought I was reading which is on me entirely but it still took me out for a bit. I went back and finished it. It is a good enough tale but I think the one I thought he was telling would've been better. LOL! Anyhow, the plot is in the title -- a slasher but told from the POV of the killer and not the final girl.
"The Housemaid's Secret" by Frieda McFadden. It's a sequel to "The Housemaid" which I didn't love. I only read this one because my friend insisted. I did like this one better than "The Housemaid" but mainly because I knew the returning characters and felt more interested in their lives than I originally did in the first book. But the main woman is still a total moron which makes it hard for me to enjoy when a character keeps doing stupid things or overlooking the obvious. The plot? This dumb@$$ who works as a housemaid needs to mind her own business, quit making stupid decisions and she would stop stepping in it. That's the plot. π
I was going to start "Holly" by Stephen King but then, well, this week happened and my heart wasn't in reading. Then I got sick over the weekend and just haven't felt like it. Maybe by the next post.
