It felt like "Ripped From The Worst FanFic Ideas".
Yeah. Although early interviews made it seem like Tim didn't plan for these two to be endgame. The way they told it made it feel like these two were far away from a breakup.
Again, it baffles me. If not long term then why set up to be so perfect?
For no reason whatsoever, they had Eddie point out that he is straight. He also was reading a woman's swimsuit magazine in the previous episode.
Yeah, you literally cannot drill a clue into their heads. The whole response is to ignore those things or spin them. "He was looking at a magazine full of women to avoid looking at Buck who he really wants!". Like, sorry, but the show is not that deep. It's a very what you see is what you get show.
Although rumor has it that RG doesn't see Eddie as gay or bi which may be why they're not just showing but telling.
I think RG is a big obstacle to it ever happening, along side how ABC is not going to be like "Sure, put your only 2 single male characters together".
My only solace is that it appears people are upset on official accounts.
Good. I'm glad. Let them see the error of their ways. It can still be undone in time. Let Buck go on dates, even some hook ups if he wants to, then be like "Nope, I only want Tommy".
But I fear this story that had so many fans is seen on par with other love interests that were far less successful.
At this point why even bother investing in any personal storylines for Buck (or Eddie either for that matter). Their love interests barely last so why should fans care anymore? I loved the idea of letting Buck have a long term relationship. Now I'm just not even bothering to care who they toss at him.
I feel like I'm going through a breakup and have nowhere to go. TG for SZ. Yes. This is not healthy but it's where I'm living right now.
Same. I feel like Tommy dumped me, too. 😂
