can sometimes be influenced by people around me. An early example: one of my friends in high school had a slightly younger brother who would sometimes deliberately pronounce the word "super" as "see-OOO-purr". Usually when he said it that way, he meant it in a somewhat sarcastic manner...and now I say "super" that way sometimes when something is NOT super.
As I've mentioned here, B is easily one of the best people I know, let alone have had the chance to work with. Her go-to phrase is "aw, you're the BEST!" whenever someone does something for her, even if it's not all that amazing. Yesterday, she had a customer who was undecisive about what tops she wanted, so B pulled out a bunch of them; any that the customer didn't want, I would grab back from B and then refold them. No big deal--this customer was the only customer in the store at that time and I was admittedly BORED--but yep, after the customer left, B thanked me for refolding the unwanted tops and told me "you're the best!". Now I sometimes tell people THEY'RE the best...
We should all have Big Grandma Energy like that.
