and to the best of my knowledge, folks didn't mind. One went so far as to tell Mom how she loved how Mom called people "honey"...and then I chimed in with "That's because she doesn't remember your name!". Mom was mortified but the person she was talking to thought that was hilarious.

I don't remember how old I was when I said that but I was young enough that I don't remember saying it.
