Very cool.
I spent years handing out candy on Halloween. Then I grew to resent it a little, especially since most of the "kids" we got were rude older teens who showed up with pillowcases and no costumes and an apparent inability to say "thank you". I stopped handing out candy for a couple of years but went back because I didn't want to disappoint the good kids we had. At my last job, I missed one Halloween due to working but another was on a weekend night so I was able to pass out candy. This year, I am, of course, scheduled to work the evening shift so no candy being handed out here. Dad can't hear the doorbell so he won't do it.
I thought about maybe trying the "honor system": putting out a bowl of candy and a sign saying "take one". But I've seen too many videos with too many people--including adults!--taking the entire bowl so I nixed that idea.
