dinner was Dinty Moore beef stew and cornbread made from the Duncan Hines Dolly Parton line of mixes. WAY too much sodium but since Dad only overindulges in salt like this once a month or so, I let him have it without commenting. Also, the cornbread mix is gooooood! It's pretty sweet, so those cornbread "purists" who think sugar has no business being in cornbread might not like it but Dad and I do. Even better: this is the second time I found the mix at the discount grocery store. It was, I believe, a month or so past its "best by" date (and thus was 40 cents a box) but neither of us could tell.
