Yesterday, after the framing and siding were completed (reminder, we're changing a screen room (bad idea) into a real room), the plumbers came and ran the line for the refrigerator's icemaker/drinking water
and ran the plumbing for the washer (slight problem) and the future sink (unspecified size or location).
Clothes washers, unlike dishwashers, dump HUGE amounts of water at a time during parts of their cycle, so they need a 2" pipe for the discharge. Sinks and dishwashers usually can discharge into a 1-1/2" pipe. That's all I had in place because the plumbing was connected to the bathtub. Toilets discharge through a 3" pipe. This has been a learning experience.
Time to do the electrical work and the insulation, among other minor things like windows and doors, floors, and the stuff I have to buy like dog doors, lights (interior and exterior), picking out the paint colors. Okay...we've got work to do. But we're making progress!!!
