even if it's not in the account. With an HSA, it's like a debit card. You can't spend it until it's in the account; however, you can carry over whatever's left over.

If your orthodontist can resubmit for the new year, it may be the best way to pay for the procedure. It would be worth it in the long run, and it's only for one year, right?
