this afternoon, just in case someone "left" something yesterday I couldn't live without after I was there. I'd planned to wait until the last hour of the event today, give others a chance to snag things they might really want or need. I was thinking the event ended at 4:00...it actually ended at 3:00. I got there at 3:02 today and almost everything was packed up. I did find a box of photo albums and grabbed four that were in really good condition. I was looking the other day for a specific photo and noticed some of our older albums are a) looking a little nasty on the outside and b) are the kind where you peeled back a plastic film on a single page and stuck the photos onto a sticky backing. I hate those--I much prefer photo albums with pockets (which are, I believe, the only kind made these days). Also, I want to weed through the albums and toss some unimportant photos. Of which we have a LOT; even before cellphone cameras, my family took lots of photos of meals or decor or other things that aren't at all important or memorable now. My goal is to reduce the number of albums we have by maybe 25%; that'll be that much less clutter and that much less to throw out when my unsentimental nieces and nephews are going through the house after I die (hopefully many, many years from now).
