To be more specific...are you someone who reads only one book at a time? Do you read multiple books in the same time period? Do you immediately pick up another book after finishing one or do you like to "digest" what you've read for a day or two?
I was thinking about this recently...I'm almost always a "one book at a time" reader. I have, on occasion, abandoned a book and then come back to it later; for example, a few months ago, I started Thomas Hardy's Far From the Maddening Crowd, read one chapter and put it aside for the time being, but I *do* intend to get back to it at some point. I also like to take at least a day, and sometimes two or three, between finishing a book and starting another, no matter what I thought about the finished book. The exception: during the five days we were without power, I finished one book and read two others, mainly because it was the easiest way to entertain myself after dark (I read by flashlight, of course).
I read every single day...but that's stories on my phone and SZ posts 😁
