All my life, I've had vivid, often unusual dreams that I remember upon waking. But the REALLY odd ones were few and far between. In the last couple days, I've dreamed...(ranking them from somewhat odd to REALLY odd)
- I was Tina from Bob's Burgers, in love with a giant zombie who had an army that was killing people. But I put a stop to it when I pointed out all the fish (aka "life") in the ocean that they could eat instead. This dream made at least partial sense as I'd watched the end of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings right before going to bed, and--no spoilers--a lot of the dream resembled the final battle at the end of the movie
- I was both judge and finalist in a spelling competition, and my opponent in the final round was Steph Curry (NBA superstar, and one I don't really follow much). He'd spelled his word correctly and commented that, spelled backwards, the word made another word, so I challenged him to spell it backwards. Which of course he did correctly...he'd just spelled it correctly forwards.
- I was a beautiful 10 year old girl with light brown skin and vivid light green eyes. I'd emptied a store bought bag of pre-popped cheddar popcorn onto a baking sheet and took it to the maple tree in the front yard, which in my dream was also an oven. I then popped the baking sheet into the tree-oven to bake and left it there overnight. In the morning, I was surprised that despite the oven being on all night, neither the tree nor the popcorn had burned.
I would love to sit down with a dream analyst and see what they make of THESE dreams 😁
Incidentally...yes, weird dreams are normal and there are no concerning medical conditions that cause them, though some women dream more vividly when they're pregnant.
