Cleveland, I usually tell them that the RTA (train) is somewhat safe, depending on where you're catching it at, but I wouldn't chance the busses. I've ridden the busses in Cleveland a few times and had reason to be nervous based on other passengers' behavior. Also--and this was 50+ years ago--my sister was attacked on a Cleveland bus. Luckily, she only suffered scratches on her arm from a knife but I was always leery of Cleveland busses after that.
