We went to Ocean City, MD. Had a good time for the most part, but the while the skies were clear and they were nice sunny days, it never got over 75 degrees. A beach vacation is the only time I ever actually want it to be hot! We did still go in the ocean, though it was pretty cold. And poor Jack got stung up by a batch of 'sea lice' - aka jellyfish larvae! They're tiny but are still a bit painful and he got welts from them (and wouldn't go back in the ocean for a couple days).
sea lice just sounds painful - anything relating to jellyfish is OWWWWW.
75 is perfect weather for me, but you're right - NOT at the beach!!! I'm surprised the water didn't hold its temp better, but the oceans currents have changed so much, maybe it didn't really get cold in MD. I always forget that being on LI sound is not the ocean! our water is still 75+ degrees. but it's all trapped between CT and LI, so it just sits there getting warmer and warmer.
We had crabs, got to see the Air Show (man some of those jets are LOUD) and overall enjoyed it. Came back pretty early on Sunday, though, since Monday was Jack's first day of school - 4th grade already!!!
Fourth GRADE?! how is this even possible?
Nothing much else going on around here, though I did decide to postpone our London trip to next Thanksgiving instead.
well this gives you lots of time to be picky about where you stay and your itinerary!! I can't wait to hear about where you will go and the things you decide to do while you are there.
