if anything, his excesses and drug use were “underexaggerated”. Knowing this movie is based on a true story does make it a better movie. If it was fiction, it would almost seem too extreme. But then I remember what it was like in the high finance world here in NYC in the 1980s and, yeah, it was pretty extreme.
