That's why El Chico and I decided last minute to change our trip to Maine back in May. We both just had a feeling...and we went to Minnesota instead.

Can I ask what your feeling was? Just overall dread, or anything more specific?

It doesn't mean you won't get to go. Maybe you can go somewhere else.

Maybe. I'm looking at NYC now, though the hotels near the parade route are of course high.

It sucks that your 40th (and 50th) you didn't get to go anywhere. Your husband needs to make up for both of those.
