Her grandmother reached out to say once again that they want my niece for several weeks this month so her father got to send back pictures and say "absolutely not." She agreed so for the time being (until we get a court order, I guess) visits are going to be suspended.
I also figured out that the best way to get to my place for a visit is ask her directly if she wants to come, so now I will have her next week for three days -- I think I'm going to buy a "City Pass" so I can take her up the CN Tower and we can go to the museum and the zoo. Her older brother said they never do anything when they visit his mother and then added "Toronto shouldn't be boring."
I took her to a festival today which was also pricey at at one point she leaned against me and said "I love you." then paused and added "I'm not saying that just because you spoil me sometimes."
"I only spoil you on special occasions."
