LOL at your Murphy Brown quote. Is “quote” pronounced cue-oh-tee, BTW?

We live in a news world now in which fast/first is valued far more than accuracy. And accuracy of punctuation is the least of that issue. Proofreading, factchecking and asking how to pronounce something will only slow down the quest to be fast and first. Sigh.
