The first one we've celebrated since my brother reunited with us last year. (There's no simple way to say this, for people who missed my post about it -- essentially he was adopted at birth and found us last year.) His wife's family has this cottage up in a very chic area of the province, and it's an incredibly nice place so just going up there elevated the experience. She got to hang out in a hammock reading all day, and be served.
I remember you telling us about your bother last year. I am so glad you all continue to deepen your family bonds!!! And good for your Mom, reading on the hammock all day sounds fantastic.
The cottage is also... I honestly love my new brother. He's the best. We are so happy he came and found us. But man. The cottage (limited) access is sure a big bonus. Now we just gotta get my sister (also adopted out, but reconnected for literal decades now) down from the east to join us.
a family reunion!! that sounds even better. I hope you all can put that together in the near future.
NEXT weekend my nephew will be in Toronto for the first time in a minute, but he's only there for a few days, so we've had to negotiate having both of my parents at the family party. It's going to be weird. They haven't been in a room together since my high school graduation.
ooohhh, well that should be interesting...and a bit anxiety inducing, I'm sure. Not that either one would purposefully seek out an argument, after all this time, but man, you never know.
