The first three seasons were very character driven and explored some interesting themes. Season 4 abruptly became more plotpointy with way too many ideas that they didn’t develop. Season 5 was back on track but more uneven than the first three seasons.
It’s about a polygamist Mormon family. The characters are very interesting played by some good actors including Chloe Sevigny, Harry Dean Stanton, Ellen Burstyn, Bill Paxton, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Amanda Seyfreid, Aaron Paul, Grace Zabriskie, Bruce Dern, Mary Kay Place, Melora Walters and others.
Although the last two seasons weren’t as good as the first three, I couldn’t stop watching it. I recommend it.
