As soon as Warner Bros Discovery bought HBO, a brand synonymous with quality, prestige, award-winning TV and decided to downplay the HBO name and replace it with Max, I thought they were idiots. It was like buying the Coco Chanel brand and immediately changing it to something completely different. Why would anyone buy a prestige brand just to erase it? I’m glad they realized it was a ridiculous thing to do. But I have to wonder about the executive skills like good judgment at Warner Bros Discovery.
