Back in...I wanna say 2000?...there was a short-lived series "The Others". I freakin' LOVED that show and always list it as one of my top five "wish it wasn't cancelled so soon" shows. BC starred as a psychic who led a support group for other people who had some kind of supernatural power. In addition to some other veteran character actors--John Billingsly, Kevin J. O' Connor--the show starred Julianne Nicholson and Gabriel Macht (before he went on to star in "Suits").
I knew Bill Cobbs hailed from Cleveland. I didn't know he worked at IBM for a while...wonder if he ever crossed paths with my dad during his time there? Different departments--Dad repaired key punch machines and later computers--but maybe at a company function?
RIP, Mr. Cobbs...you did Cleveland proud.
