from a (somewhat) near factory that makes kids' literacy- and education-related electronics (like Leap Frog leap pads). The hours were good, the place seemed like one of the more "clean" factories around (and it's air-conditioned), no heavy lifting and you can go from assembly to being the person reviewing and loading the content. It seemed like a nice, natural progression from binding books, and the company had great reviews from both customers and employees. Alas, even with a "nudge", I didn't hear back from them.
Job hunting is the worst. I've been unemployed again for a month and haven't done much in job hunting. I'm just burnt out from this semester that bad. So I know how you feel too well.
I'm sorry your last semester went so poorly. I think bff is in a similar situation as yours...she knows she could go back into nursing, like you could go back into teaching, but she really, really, REALLY doesn't want to.
One thing that's both weird and weirdly a bit comforting: both my bff and my good church friend are also unemployed. Though gcf has starting helping out an elderly woman for all of one hour a week...she likes what she's doing, and she likes the woman but of course the pay isn't nearly enough (and wouldn't it be great to have a job where working just one hour a week would get all your needs paid AND leave you with leftover funds?).
