I have a cc with them, it's actually my oldest card. At the end of April I made a purchase with Clinique and used my BoA card because they were offering a cash back statement credit if you purchased from Clinique using their link. It ended up being something like $10 back. I have AutoPay set up on the account so other than looking at the new amount I didn't pay any attention to it (I have one other thing that is charged on that account monthly, otherwise I never use it).
Well, I was just perusing my bank account and balancing my check book (YES I AM A DINOSAUR), and I realized that the payment didn't go through on the 10th. I log in, and it says no payment was made. So I start a chat to see what on earth happened, and while chatting with the person I am also going through the account to see what's up, and searching my email to see if there was something I missed.
Apparently when AutoPay was set up years and years ago, it was set to not pay if the payment was over $50. It's possible I set that, since I don't use it and since I don't check it enough if the card was compromised and a large purchase made I wouldn't want to auto pay it. So if I did set it I guess it's my fault - but what really irks me is that BoA emailed me to say that the payment didn't go through on June 14th. Four days AFTER the payment wasn't made, and a day after the late fee and interest fee was charged. 😒 So even if I HAD gotten the email immediately and gone to correct it, I still had already been charged the late fee.
Luckily after about a 15 minute wait on a phone call (the chat didn't work out, they couldn't help me get the fees removed *and* reprimanded me when I said their ridiculous autopay limit set up was stupid), William from SC got all the fees removed and I'm good to go.
Hopefully.
And as for the seasons, I rank them Spring Summer Fall Winter. Yeah, being too hot sucks, but being too cold is worse. And I would like Fall a lot more if #^&@#*@! Winter wasn't after it.
