It's pretty good fried, diced and in a stir fry, and though I'm not a fan of seaweed, I did like Spam musabi the one time I had it.
I have to wonder...what alarmed the guards? All that metal in one bag or, y'know, Spam in all its general unhealthiness <g>?
Kind of reminds me of a trip to Chicago with my bff. She was still a nurse back then and always carried around a couple pairs of suture scissors (why, I don't know...I guess she felt she might have a need some day to remove someone's stitches?). Security in Chicago for the flight back confiscated one pair*...and also was unsure about the slices of deep dish pizza we each had in our carry ons for later. I think it was the density of the cheese filling in the pizza that made it seem suspicious.
* and security at the Cleveland airport on the flight there missed BOTH pairs, so fine job there guys.
