creamer with coconut and lime? Just might be a serious diet buster...I LOVE it! Which makes me think I might like the Dr. Pepper with coconut that's supposed to hit the market soon.

The creamer also came in handy for another beverage...yesterday, I was in the charming town of Chagrin Falls for no real reason other than I like to walk around CF once every few months or so. I'd just gotten out of the car and was walking past a few stores when I got a text from my nephew. He'd seen me in the parking lot (I hadn't seen him). I asked him where he was, and he told me he was at his workplace, a couple miles away from downtown CF. He's trying to get out of the bartending/waiting tables business altogether and make a living giving music lessons and being paid to play for a local church (plus at one of restaurants he used to work at, he occasionally is paid to play piano for a jazz trio). Since he still had almost an hour before his next student showed, he asked if I'd like to come visit him at the place he gives lessons. I said sure, and as I was walking past a really great coffeehouse just then (one I know he loves), I asked if he'd like a coffee. He said he'd just come from that coffeehouse...but he wouldn't say no to a pastry <g>. So I nipped inside and got myself something called a "cherry bomb", plus I grabbed a chocolate drizzled peanut butter cookie and a chai molasses cookie and I headed over to see my nephew. We had a really nice visit; he caught me up on the family trip to Edisto Island after my other nephew's graduation (I only had time for the graduation; this nephew skipped the graduation and opted to spend a few days at the beach house with other family members and some friends). I gave him his choice of cookie; he selected the molasses cookie and thanked me profusely, telling me he often doesn't get a chance to eat dinner on nights he has lessons. The one downside of the entire visit: that cherry bomb. The coffeehouse has really great permanent items on their menu but their seasonal offerings can be a bit hit or miss. The cherry bomb is some kind of diluted cherry syrup poured over ice and topped with a shot of expresso. It's kind of awful. The bitter/sour is SO overwhelming. My nephew had been meaning to try a cherry bomb...I let him have a sip of mine and he grimaced and thanked me again, this time for saving him $5. He didn't care for the drink either. I brought 3/4 of it home (I kept taking tiny sips in the car, hoping it would get better...it didn't) and just now tried mixing it with the Coffeemate dirty soda creamer. That actually made it at least palatable, if not good, so at least *I* didn't waste $5 being adventurous with my drink selection at the normally excellent coffeehouse <g>.
