this show. For the past few days, since I finished it, so many scenes keep coming back to me. The poor 25-yr old “senior” engineer who had only been on the job for 4 months. Between him and the firefighter, we learned in graphic detail just how bad radiation poisoning is. And with their veins dissolving, they couldn’t even give them morphine. And yet, they didn’t overdo it.

For me, a pivotal scene was when Valery Legasov told Boris Shcherbina that they were both going to die. The look on Stellan Skarsgard’s face was amazing. The whole situation became so much more real to him in that moment.
