on the outskirts are all just mulling around, not really participating but trying to look like they're supporting their respective teammates, and the poor bullpen pitchers who usually have to make a long trot out of the bullpen only for the fight to usually be over by the time they get there. Then they have to trot back, having not even gotten to throw a punch or trash talk the other team <g>.
