going with a sort of sparkly pale orange polish with some blue-ish glitter for my pedicure yesterday. Which...wasn't at all what I was thinking when I went in. I'd actually (sort of) decided on a pale blue and found one that I liked but then I decided it was less "robin's egg" and more "slate". I was still mostly sure I was going with it and had actually turned towards the pedicure room...and then the stylist showed me some samples of a brand new line. Can't tell you what brand, can't even tell you the name...something about sunset and wishes, I think? Bff got polish from the same line, similar to mine but a darker orange, almost red. Which worked well for both of us...I have pale, pale feet that will only slightly tan in the summertime (when I don't get enough sunscreen on the tops of my feet), and bff has a darker skin tone that reflects her Mediterranean heritage.
The funniest part is I'd literally JUST told bff "the only thing I'm certain I DON'T want is anything with glitter". And then I got glitter polish. Which is difficult to get off of fingernails and almost impossible to remove from toenails, so in about 6-8 weeks, I'm going to have a LOT of fun trying to get the polish off.
