(I didn't know that was already a thing--I thought I was being such a maverick).
I got the idea this morning, when I was scrolling through stories on my phone. I found one advocating making rice with pickle juice. The author substituted about a third of the water with pickle juice...it sounded interesting. On Monday, I made stuffed peppers and cooked too much ground beef, so I took my leftover beef (which I'd cooked with diced onion) and put it in a bowl. Then I drizzled ketchup and mustard atop the beef and topped it with this cheese sauce which I seasoned with a few sprinkles of Badia complete seasoning. Then I added some rice cooked in 2/3 water, 1/3 pickle juice and mixed it all up...oh my YUM! I made enough for two servings; Dad already had dinner (we rarely eat together on Friday nights), so I put the other serving in the fridge and am already looking forward to having it for lunch tomorrow.
