the gross and horrifying scene near the beginning of Ep 1 was more drawn out in the book, as was the ship crew's captivity. I'm fine with that. I left the room for that scene that I won't even talk about. It was thankfully quite short.

Ew. I'm glad that scene was shorter in the show because it was horrible. Also, don't think I want to read the book now. Not if that was more in depth.
