was beautiful, the dancers were unnecessary. The emphasis and camera in an In Memorium production should always be on the screen/photos/names of the deceased. Show the singers at the beginning before the names start appearing on screen and then again after the names are finished, not during the names. Cut the dancers completely. Listen to the music. Nobody should be watching dancers.
That segment might have been somewhat better from the perspective of the onsite audience but they shouldn’t have been watching dancers either. It was a total fail for the TV audience. You would have to have a huge TV screen to read most of the names. Overall, it was very disrespectful to the deceased. It was like they were saying: We think you’ll be bored by these names of dead people. So we’re giving you something more interesting to watch while we do it. We’re only doing this In Memorium segment because we have to.
