"You learned nothing from Ned!"
And that was 2 fold because Ned would've never broken his word to the Frey's but also Ned thought too much with his heart and his compassion. Robb's marriage storyline was different in the books and, honestly, I preferred the book version because it made Robb look less stupid, IMO.*
I'm not sure what the ages of the kids in the show are, honestly. They were aged up from the books for various reasons. They needed 18+ actors for roles like Dany because of the sex and nudity but, also, no one wanted to be told Dany was like 13 while having sex with Drogo. So Dany was aged up 5 years from the books which made them also have to age up Robb and Jon since they were all similar in age.
Arya makes me think of a child soldier. It's heartbreaking.
**Book spoilers for Robb in case you were interested.
Robb married a highborn girl named Jeyne whose parents were loyal to the Lannisters. They were Lannister bannermen and Robb was injured taking their castle. Jeyne helped take care of him and they fell in love. He took her virginity, then felt he had to do the honorable thing and marry her to keep from shaming her and her family. Also, he liked her and wanted her so I'm sure that played into it some. But it made it more like he was trying to do the right thing than just breaking his word to follow his heart.
Jeyne's mother was furious, tho, and schemed behind their backs with Tywin. Jeyne didn't die in the Red Wedding, tho, because the mom convinced Robb and Jeyne that Jeyne's presence at wedding might offend the Frey's and she should not attend. She was also never pregnant.
