Jane the Virgin is better. If you haven't seen that one, I recommend it. It deconstructs telenovelas while fully embracing and loving the genre and all the soap tropes.
I'm looking forward to getting to a Desperate Housewives rewatch to see if I appreciate Renee Parry more that I've seen Ugly Betty. Vanessa Williams was so great in it.
If you haven't seen Daytime Divas, it's on Hulu and stars VW as the head of a show like The View. It only has one season (apparently aired on VH-1) and was cancelled on a cliffhanger, but Vanessa was just so much fun in it. I think I read that she's going to play the Meryl Streep role in a Broadway version of The Devil Wears Prada. She will be awesome.
227 is just so fun.
BTW, my mom had to watch Who's the Boss every week because she wanted to support Judith Light because she was Karen Wolek on OLTL, lol. Full House was for John Stamos/Blackie Parrish. (Although I don't think I could stomach watching Full House these days.)
