a car while swooping to scavenge a small animal on the ground. 😢. The good news is: “Bald Eagles were on the brink of extinction in the United States in the 1970s. Now New York State has well over 400 breeding pairs, and the population shows strong, continuing annual growth,”. We have a couple of those pairs in Brooklyn and Staten Island. RIP Rover! 😢
