I put off posted about it and debated posting about it at all because I didn't want to pile on. But I decided on going ahead...
She was my mom's brother's wife. She had been fighting colon cancer for at least a couple of years and I'll say within the last month, she turned. I know she was in her late 70s, but not her exact age. My mom and uncle are exactly three years and one day apart (my mom's birthday is 10/4 and her brother's is 10/3). She is 77 and he is 80 and my mom says she believes my aunt was a year older than her.
About 20+ years ago my aunt and uncle moved from El Paso to Indianapolis and then my cousins/their kids moved up there too. So they had their kids, grandkids and eventually a great grandkid or two up there with them. I haven't seen them much in a while, but I will always remember how much I loved being around her. The woman was a total hoot. And this makes me sad. :-(
