though the same grieving process I am right now, especially with all you're going through. Your offer to me is so, so kind and please know it's reciprocated. You can ALWAYS PM me if you need to talk.
Yesterday, I went through the house gathering, cleaning and boxing up Leo's things. He truly had the run of the house; his stuff was EVERYWHERE. A kitty bed in the spare bedroom that he used for maybe a month and then ignored. His litterbox and litter catching mat in the bathroom. Toys strewn throughout the living room, toys he mostly ignored...the only ones he played with really were the super cheap Dollar Tree catnip laced small mice. He'd bat those around once in a while or lay on the side clutching one between his front paws and licking it. And of course his food dish in the kitchen, plus an entire section of one counter devoted to different foods and treats. Towards the end, I was desperate to get him to eat anything so I bought different squeeze ups, broths and "cat milk", mostly to no avail. As I was boxing things yesterday, Dad made a run to the laundromat to wash Leo's cat bed, his self warming cat mat, the pad in his carrier and a blanket...Sunday night, poor Leo accidentally peed on the blanket I was using to stay warm while holding him, and when I took him out of his carrier at the vet on Monday, he'd peed on the pad inside and peed a little on me, the poor thing. This was a cat who amazingly had NEVER had an accident in the house. Everything's boxed now...but it hasn't yet made it upstairs to the attic.
Thank you for following Leo's exploits both here and on Instagram. And please take lots and lots of care of yourself and know that while we always enjoy posts by you, it's OK if you don't want to post.
