oldest sister and her BIL, went to a lovely Italian restaurant for a late lunch, then we went back to the sister's house for cheesecake. Bff and her sister had somewhat of a falling out around Christmas, so I suspect my inclusion was so bff had a buffer, but that's OK because a) she's my bff and I'm happy to do whatever I can for her, b) the food really was good (I had the gnocchi with marinara sauce) and c) her BIL insisted on paying for all of us, possibly because he knows what I'm going through with Leo but more likely just because he's a great guy.
In a couple weeks, I'm taking bff out for a meal and another glass bead-making class. Honestly, I'm kind of hoping this is the last one she'll want to go to (there's 6 total, and you pay as you go so you can stop any time). I didn't dislike the class--the instructor was amazing!--but it's just not an activity that greatly interests me. And THAT'S partly because I wasn't all that great at it the first time and partly because I'm a wee bit leery of playing with fire <g>. Bff LOVED the first class though, so it seemed like a natural choice for a birthday gift.
