Last Christmas, I bought a tree topper that was basically a top hat. I put the light up star that was on the tree in years past (actually, there was a star that we used after it) in the bathroom just to have it out of the way while I decorated the tree, and at some point, Dad went in and plugged the star into the outlet. It's been sitting on our counter ever since, basically being a really festive night light.
