and we were 2 of 8 people in the place, but it WAS a weekday matinee.

I actually think the kiosks are in response to the low attendance. we paid for our tickets online but had to pick them up at the concierge desk, which I thought was strange because why the extra step?

our theatre only has 3 screens, and I know there were folks there watching the other offerings, the parking lot WAS full. not packed, but full.

I admit, the lure of the theatre is a bit lost on me. my television screen is a lot more clear, the sound a more acceptable level (LOL) and I can pause and take a bathroom break without missing anything. But the best part is not having to deal with people kicking my seat, chatting during the movie, trying to get up and out of the isle...inappropriately aged attendees causing a variety of disturbances.

it's just a better movie-watching experience for me at home. UNLESS it's a horror. there is nothing better than watching a horror movie at the theatre, because everyone gets scared, and then we all laugh at how scared we were (and then we miss a lot of the movie...LOL)
