It wasn't the most egregious request I've seen on GFM but OTOH, I thought a) she's making good money so why doesn't she just pay for the a/c herself? and b) people have been living without a/c for literally millennia so while it's definitely nice to have, and I'm grateful every single 90° day that we have it, it's not an absolute necessity. I never did find out if she got her central air.
