Seriously, out of a dozen cats, only 5--Cleo, Lily, Chevy, Amity and Fiona--were awake. And Amity was hiding behind the shelving, and Chevy was too drowsy to move much, and Lily (who is, ahem, a bit on the rotund side) wasn't much inclined to move out of the space she'd claimed for herself. Cleo and Fiona were a little more active but Cleo took a bit of time to warm up to us (mostly me--she was shy around GCF), and Fiona is an older girl who moved slowly and stopped to stretch a lot. I'd like to go back when there'd be cats who wanted to play with the hundreds of toys strewn around, and I'd LOVE to be allowed to hold a cat if that's permissible. I have a LOT of respect for the STAFF's respect for the cats; they didn't enforce any kind of interaction or drag kitties out of their hiding spots or anything like that.
